  2014年6月英语六级作文范文:

【六级作文真题】 Directions: For this part, your are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay explaining why it is unwise to judge a person by appearance. You can give explain to illustrate your point. You should write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words 。

M: It's really amazing how many colors there are in these Thai silks?

It is a truth universally acknowledged that we need to have a plan B when we are doing important things. As a famous proverbs goes, it is unwise to put all your eggs in one basket. This saying obviously aims to deliver the message that in order to avoid possible failures and setbacks, we ought to make adequate and flexible preparations。

【六级作文范文】 In recent years, there has been a widely-held feeling towards evaluating a person on the basis of his/her appearance. On the surface, it may seem a sound idea, but on closer analysis we find it unscientific and unconvincing. There are numerous reasons for this argument, but I shall here explore only one of the most important ones. We can never judge a person by his/herexternal appearance because no one is able to gain a full appreciation of a person merely by it. One’s good impression on others does not usually develop from the way one looks, but the inner qualities one possesses. For example, the virtues of the Chinese people are regarded as beautiful, because they have helped to produce such a magnificent culture in the world. From what have been discussed ablve, we may draw the conclusion that we should adopt appropriate standards to estimate persons, like their inner qualities or practical actions。

金沙澳门官网下载app, W: These are our new designs。

Nobody can be certain of what is going to happen in the future; therefore, we all need to have different plans and prepations in case of undesirable outcomes. Then, the losses and risks can be tremendously reduced. For instance, a decade ago, chinese stock market was extremely profitable and made numerous people millionnaires just overnight. One day, my uncle came to my home and he intended to borrow money from my parents. He promised that he would return the money plus the interest in two years. But my father was dicreet and he only loaned him a few. Then, he deposited some in the bank, invested some in the national bond, and spent the rest on a new apartment. Two years later, chinese stock market crashed and my uncle nearly lost all his fortune. Luckily, my father’s decision made more money for us。

  M: Oh, I don't think I've seen this combination of colors before。

To conclude, it is highly unfeasible to put all eggs in just one basket. Not only will this give rise to the unexpected and unaffordable result, but we will be inclined to be irrationale and unreasonable。

  W: They're really brilliant, aren't they?

M: Quite dazzling! May I have samples of the new color combinations?

W: Yes, of course. But aren't you going to place an order?

M: We order them regularly, you know, but I do want our buyer who handles fabrics to see them。

W: Have you looked at the wood and stone coverings? Did you like them?
